Despite everyone feeling pretty miserable about the current environmental, economic and political situation the Western World has found itself in – worry not, Pantone is feeling decidedly optimistic about the future, unveiling “Greenery” (15-0343 TCX) as their ‘Color of the Year’ for 2017.
The annual announcement has become a symbolic color selection; a color forecast of what we see taking place in global culture in terms of design, fashion, beauty, branding, products, interior design and architecture.
Pantone’s press release partly read;
“Nature’s neutral, ‘Greenery’ is a versatile trans-seasonal shade that lends itself to many color combinations. Greenery can easily be paired with neutrals, brights, deeper shades, pastels, & metallics”
