Inspired by the Spanish Colonial Revival Style (1905 – 1930), our Russian Hill Project is a sophisticated and luxurious retreat nestled on the upper slope of one of San Francisco’s original Seven Hills.

Background

Project was originally a basic remodel of a family home, focusing on bathroom & kitchen areas with electric upgrade throughout.

Challenges

Scope of the project quickly ballooned upon discovery of of mulltiple structural issues which required a complete redesign and re-estimation.

Project needed to be completed to an absolute deadline as clients vacated the property for a fixed period of five months.

Results

This project turned into a full house remodel plus structural work. Internal walls were removed so additional steel structural supports were required on two levels. House had to be releveled. Project required cross-collaboration between ourselves, Architects, Structural Engineers and Interior Designers – Applegate Tran.
